Iteso Cultural Union Museum
The Iteso Cultural Union Museum is found at the Soroti Town headquarters (opposite the Soroti Hotel). In this museum you find a display of the domestic utensils and hunting tools of the Itesots. Furthermore, the museum also promotes intangible heritage through a film on the traditional stories, norms and values of the Itesot people.
The utensils include baskets, gourds, calabashes, winnowing trays, grinding stones, pots, brooms, pestles and mortars, ekigo (ladle for stirring millet) and eitereria (the fishing basket). In addition to the above, they also include spears, hoes, clubs, arrows, bows and all the instruments which have to do with brewing and drinking of their locally made alcohol.
