Day 1: Depart from the city to Selous game reserve
You will depart from Dar es Salaam city Centre. Then enjoy a late lunch at the Rufiji River camp. Later on embark on an afternoon game drive in the reserve and then you will return to Rufiki River Camp for your dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Have a game drive in the reserve.
You will enjoy a full game drive in Selous game reserve. There, you will participate in some classic style game drives exploring the bush. You will view many animals including the Waterbuck, southern Reed Buck and the Bush Buck. You will also view the rare Antelopes, Lions, and greater Kudu.
Then dinner and overnight at Rufiji River Camp
Day 3: Have a walking safari & a boat cruise.
Have breakfast and a ranger will accompany you on a walking safari within the reserve. The sounds of a walking safari are so special that they will long live in your memory. You will view many animals and later in the afternoon, you will enjoy a boat cruise where you will explore the different channels and lakes of the Rufiji river system. This river is surrounded by Hippos and Crocodiles. You will also view variety of; Herons, Storks, and Ducks, other Bird species may be seen. You will also see some land mammals.
Finally have dinner and overnight at Rufiji River Camp
Day 4: Full day game drive.
You will have a full day game viewing in the Selous game reserve. Then dinner and overnight at Rufiji River Camp.
Day 5: Transfer to Mikumi National Park.
You will collect picnic lunches and drive to Mikumi National park. Then proceed to Vuma Hill Tented Camp. The camp is above the trees stretching over the seemingly endless wildness south west of Mikumi National park.
Then dinner and overnight at Vuma Hill Tented Camp
Day 6: Ruaha National Park.
Have breakfast and after proceed to Ruaha National park. This park is famous for its rare sable antelopes, roan , antelope and big herds of elephants. The park also represents a transition zone where the eastern and southern African flora and fauna overlap. You will also enjoy an afternoon game drive.
Then dinner and overnight at Ruaha River Lodge
Day 7: Have a full day game drive
You have a full day game drive where you will view over 500 bird species. There are also many animal species which include; hippos, crocodiles, lion, leopards, hunting dogs, water buck , impala, giraffe, warthog and the eland. In the plains, you can too spot the grant gazelle, ostrich and cheetah.
Then dinner and overnight at Ruaha River Lodge
Day 8: Transfer to Mikumi National park
Have breakfast and drive to Mikumi national park. You will have lunch at Vuma Hill Tented Camp; followed by an evening game drive in Mikumi National park. The national park is also well known for its population of Giraffes, elephants, Zebras, Elands and Kudu, wildebeest, roan and Antelopes. The predators include; Tree climbing lions, leopards, wild hunting dogs and black backed jackal. You will also see many crocodiles, monitor lizards, yellow baboon and hippos.
Then dinner and overnight at Vuma Hill Tented Lodge
Day 9: Have game drive and departure.
Have breakfast and after enjoy another game drive in Mikumi National park. Then return to the camp for lunch and then drive for your return to Dar- es Salaam. We will be drop you off in the city Centre for your departure; marking the end of your Tanzania Safari.
