Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park.
After taking a cup of coffee, transfer to Queen Elizabeth national, passing through the scenic country side of Ankole. Have an en route game drive, a rewarding adventure with variety of animals like Mongoose,Elephants, and Buffaloes among others. Have lunch, visit the crater lakes region and then retire for dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and Boat cruise.
Get up early in the morning for chimp tracking in Kyambura gorge . This 100 meters gorge harbors habituated chimpanzees. It is engraved by Kyambura River which flows across the rift valley floor towards the Kazinga channel.
The guided walk to search for man’s closest cousins, the chimpanzeesbegins at Kyambura Fig tree camp at 08:00 hours and takes approximately 2 – 6 hours. Other primates in this gorge include the red tailed monkeys, olive baboon, among others. Rest as you wait for lunch time. Then in the afternoon, you will be driven to the pier at Mweya peninsular for a launch cruise along the Kazinga channel.
The boat cruise will expose you to various aquatic mammals like the Crocodiles and herds of Hippopotamus. The shore of the channel is known for its massive flocks of birds like pelicans,the African jacana, and the fish eagle among others. Crocodiles have become a common sight here and occasionally leopards.
Then finally return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi National park.
Depart to Bwindi National Park through the Ishasha sector. Then do a game drive through this southern sector of Queen Elizabeth national park that is famous for the elusive tree climbing lions.
You will have a picnic lunch in the wilderness and then after depart to Bwindi National Park. Then dinner and overnight upon arrival in the evening at your lodge.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking tour in Bwindi national park.
The adventure involves walking up steep densely forested hills before finally coming across the gorillas camouflaged in the vegetation. (This trek can take from half an hour to 5 hours – a reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as a sturdy pair of walking shoes). Sit in the forest among the gorillas, listening to them grumble to each other, and marvel at the sheer size of the dominant male; thesilver back. It is a supernatural feeling sitting in the dense rain forest knowing you are with a few of the remaining mountain gorillas.
It’s amazing to think there are only about 900 of these beautiful creatures left! If you have the energy this afternoon, take a guided walk on the Munyaga River trail, which is an ideal short walk. This trail leads to three delightful crystal clear waterfalls, and there is a profusion of tree ferns, Epithytic ferns, orchids and Bwindi’s colorful array of butterflies. Here you may also see birds and primates from the forest edge. Overnight at your lodge.

Day 5: Transfer to Rwanda.
After a cup of coffee, you will depart through either Chanika or Katuna boarder. Clear at the border and continue to Kinigi headquarters. On arrival, you will visit the Dianne fossey graves before dinner and finally overnight.

Day 6: Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes national park.
After taking breakfast-you will head for yet another thrilling gorilla tracking tour in Rwanda, in Parc National des Volcans. Tracking the gorillas through the light mountain forest on the slopes of the Virungas is a magical experience. Then the whole activity might be strenuous but each encounter of a family of gorillas is rewarding! Spend 1 hour with them, and be back at the base in time for late lunch! Some gorilla families however are more elusive and tracking may take a full day, especially when it is wet and muddy. Transfer back to Kabale for your dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Lake Bunyonyi and departure.
Finally, after breakfast, take a tour on Lake Bunyonyi to explore her endless islands that make it a very unique destination in Africa. It is known to be the second deepest lake in Africa which makes it a hot spot for adventure travellers. Later visit the museums in Kabale, before departing to Kampala or Entebbe for your late flight back home.
