Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi National Park
You will be collected from your place of accommodation by one of our professional guide with whom you will drive to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. The park which best known for holding half of the total population of mountain gorillas in the world is forested area located on the lowlands of the outer fringes of a mountainous area. Arrive in the park in the evening but if time allows, enjoy some entertainment by cultural dancers from the neighboring communities. It is such a thrilling performance! Dine and slumber at your lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking encounter
After an early hefty breakfast, head to the head-offices of the park for a briefing before beginning the exciting gorilla tracking adventure. By 9:00am, the guide will detail you about the day’s activities and then you will set off into the forest in search of these gentle giants. The time this expedition will last is very unpredictable but will depend generally on the gorillas’ movements. The tracking will include ascending and descending the steep rugged terrain which is somewhat tiring though enticing and much adventurous, and the joy you will experience on coming face to face with these tranquil giants will certainly be worth the efforts. After an hour with them, you will retire to your lodge to dine and slumber.

Day 3: Drive to Kibale National Park
Following a thrilling breakfast, you will depart from Bwindi and head to Kibale forest National Park. The park is renowned to be the ‘the primate capital’ of the world, it harbors one of the largest diversity and numbers of primates in East Africa and the entire Africa. The park is comprised of several sections of rainforests which shelter birds, so birding is another possible activity. On arrival in the late afternoon, you will visit the region with crater lakes and later retire for dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking in the morning and Bigodi wetland sanctuary walk in the afternoon
Set out for an exhilarating experience as you track chimpanzees in the verdant forest after having a hearty breakfast. You will be able to see other primates such as the baboons, Bush-babies, colobus monkeys and the Mangabeys, in addition to butterflies and numerous counts of squirrels. Our experienced guide will make this trekking very exciting as he details you about the fauna and flora of the forest. Have lunch and then set out for a walk in the impressive Bigodi Swamp sanctuary to enjoy birding and unveil the exceptional wetland vegetation and animals that dwell in this sanctuary. Retire in the evening for dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.

Day 5: Drive back to Kampala
After breakfast, you will return to Kampala with unforgettable memories of this trip. Have lunch along the way and also stop by the equator to take some photographs. Arrive in Kampala late in the afternoon and head to your hotel to unwind after the long drive from the western countryside. Dine and overnight stay at your lodge
