Love Uganda Foundation

Love Uganda Foundation is a non-profit organization; with the purpose of rebuilding the lives of those orphaned and widowed due to AIDS and poverty. It was founded by McMillan Emmanuel in 2006; compelled to help the orphans and widows in his community, devastated by the effects of AIDS and poverty.

The Foundation has established different projects to empower the vulnerable people. These projects include an Orphanage in Mukono district that is taking care of more than 30 children, a Primary School in Kabale district with more than 50 Pupils and the Elderly project in Gulu districts that empower the lives of those affected by the Lord’s Resistance Army(LRA) war. This really sounds amazing to fellow Ugandans.

Thus the Foundation is working in line with fulfillment of the Preamble of the United Nations (UN) Charter of; (i) saving succeeding generations from the scourge of war; (ii) reaffirming faith in fundamental human rights, in the dignity and worth of the human person, in the equal rights of men and women and of nations large and small; (iii) establishing conditions under which justice and respect for the obligations arising from treaties and other sources of international law can be maintained; (iv) promoting social progress and better standards of life in larger freedom; and (v) practicing tolerance and live together in peace with one another as good neighbors.

Therefore, i call upon the government of Uganda to support and work with Love Uganda Foundation in rebuilding the lives of those who are vulnerable and devastated after losing their loved ones as a result of wars or AIDS. We would also like to interest the international community to emulate the work of this foundation and further call upon all people to stop isolating the vulnerable people; but rather to support and work with them so that they can fulfill their dreams and goals just like everyone hoping for a bright future.

Love Uganda safaris has been at the forefront of ensuring that the foundation gets enough funds, which is one of the reasons the directors decided to start the safari company; and now Love Uganda Safaris is a major fundraiser to run most of the foundation activities, including paying school fees, medical care, food stuff, clothing, among others. To achieve the goal of strengthening and developing our communities through tourism, 40% of all proceeds from tours & safari business is dedicated to support this cause.
