Tsavo East National Park

Tsavo East National Park means “Theatre of the wild”. It lies to the East of the Nairobi- Mombasa road, equidistant between Nairobi and Mombasa. It also offers a vast and untapped arena of arid bush which is washed by Azure and emerald meandering of Ghana River. The park MtitoAndei Gates is 233 km South of Nairobi and 250 km North of Mombasa on the main Nairobi- Mombasa Road. Distance; Nairobi-MtitoAndei: 233 km – MtitoAndei-Voi: 96 km – Voi-Mombasa: 153 km.

Then from Malindi, take the western road (C103) and enter in the park via Sala gate. Airstrips: Voi, Aruba, Satao, Sala, Ithumba, Sangayaya, Mopeo, Bachuma, Cottars.

The major attractions include; Elephants in the Eden, Aruba Dam, Mudanda Rock, Lugards Falls. The wildlife found in the park also include; the vast herds of dust, red elephant, Rhino, Buffalo, Lion, Leopards, Hippos, Crocodile, Waterbucks, lesser Kudu, Gerenuk and Hirola. The prolific bird life features 500 recorded species. The main activities also include; game viewing, camping, trekking and bird watching.
