Mixed South Africa Safari

This Mixed South Africa safari is among the best safari in South Africa. It takes you to South Africa and after be transferred to Botswana’s Okavango Delta extension. You will also fly to Kruger National park and enjoy several game within the park including; elephants,buffalos, Nyale, elend and many more. Then you will explore Kruger National Park and enjoy the 147 species of land mammals, the highest number in Africa; including all of the Big five; these include the lions, elephants, cape Buffalos, leopards and the Rhinos. You will also transfer to Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe for game viewing. Again the tour takes you to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe and then enjoy a Victoria falls community. Transfer to Impalila Island in Nambia and enjoy many activities. You will transfer to Chobe National Park in Botswana and enjoy many safari activities. Then finally, you will also transfer to south Africa for your departure.

Upon arrival at Johannesburg in South Africa, you will be met and transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay; you will be joined by those who traveled on our optional Botswana’s Okavango Delta extension.
Then dinner and overnight at Protea Hotel or Tambo

Fly to Kruger National Park. This morning, you will also fly to Nelspruit, on arrival. We will transfer to the camp in Kruger national park. This is the largest of all the parks found in South Africa; with a total area of 7500 square miles. It’s one of the largest parks in the world. Bordered by the Limpopo and Crocodile rivers. The land spreads a stunning 200 miles at its widest point. Late in the afternoon, we will get our first taste of this vast natural canvas in game viewing drive. We may spot many herds of elephants and the buffalos, antelopes, Nyala, eland and many more. The game viewing drives will be led by knowledgeable guides who know the best locations for viewing and adept at helping you at spotting wildlife near and the far places.

Then dinner and overnight at Mjejane River Lodge

You will enjoy a full day game drive in Kruger National park, it’s a home to 147 species of land mammals, the highest number in Africa, including all of the Big five; these include the lions, elephants, cape Buffalos, leopards and the Rhinos. There are also many zebras which roam the land here. After your lunch in the park, the game drive continues in the afternoon. One needn’t only scan the grasses for activity also the trees and the sky are busy, you will view over 500 bird species including the African birders call, the big six, the lappet faced vulture, marital eagle, saddle billed stork, koori bustard, ground hornbill and the pel’s fishing owl etc. In the evening, we will return to the camp for dinner.

We begin with an early morning bush walk. You will look out for species which live here in lesser numbers, these include; the African wild dogs. You will return to the camp for the breakfast, you will rest and after lunch, you will enjoy a final afternoon game drive where you will view the giraffes and the long horned greater Kudu. Later in the evening, we will enjoy dinner together at the camp as the evening falls.

Have breakfast, and after depart the camp and return to Nelspruit for the flight to Livingstone, Zambia. We will drive a short distance to Victoria falls- where authorities will meet us and transfer to our lodge near Hwange National park; Zimbabwe‘s largest park. As we pass the grasslands and the acacia woodlands enroute to our lodge, we will enjoy a taste unspoiled beauty for which Hwange is famous. Comparatively undiscovered, the bush country park is also known for its herds of sable antelope, an elephant animal with large graceful horns, which we may see on this first game viewing drive. In the evening you spend the dinner at the lodge.
Dinner and overnight at Sable Sands Lodge

We will rise early for breakfast before setting out for a morning game drive. In the afternoon, we will return to our lodge to enjoy lunch and some time at the leisure, before heading into the bush again for an afternoon game viewing drive. During our safari, we will soak in a variety of Hwange’s habitants, from teak forests to palm islands to vast, savannahs plains. In addition to your sightings from the day before, you may encounter a menagerie of animals which could include lion, leopards, cheetah and many more 400 known bird species. We’ll return to our lodge for dinner.

Then dinner and overnight at Sable Sands Lodge

We will have an opportunity to enjoy a full day of game driving with one of the guides. You will view many animals and also learn more about each and every animal. After enjoying our packed lunch, we will journey into the bush once again to continue our game drive, you will animals including; the elephants, buffalos, wildebeest and the Impala, before we return to our camp for dinner. And depending on the season, we might even be lucky enough to dine with a view of elephant’s grazing nearby.
Then dinner and overnight at Sable Sands Lodge

Have breakfast in the morning and after we depart and travels overland to Victoria Falls Moshi oatunya, as the falls are also known in the local language, live up to their name as the smoke that thunders, however, on a clear day, you can view the mist from these crashing waters from more than 50 miles away. That’s also not surprising when you consider the size of the falls; nearly twice as high as Niagara, as well as one and a half times as wide, generating three times as much as water. Later in the afternoon, the guide will let you explore the walking trails and lookout points-each with many different views. There are also many main cataracts, including the most dramatic, the main falls and the devils cataract. Dinner is at a local restaurant in the night.
Finally overnight at Spray view Hotel

This day, you will have several opportunities to gain insight into daily life in Victoria Falls. After, your breakfast, we will set out to spend some time at a village market, which is partially supported by Grand circle Foundation to benefit the local economy. On the market visit, we will venture to Jabulani Primary School, where we will have a chance to interact with students and staff, enjoying a glimpse of Zimbabwe’s future. You will spend additional time exploring the community and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Then also have a rest of the afternoon at leisure; you might choose to explore the town of Victoria falls. Or perhaps, you will join one or more optional tours, which also include an elephant, back safari or a Helicopter ride over the falls.
Then finally dinner and overnight at Spray view Hotel

You might choose to continue your explorations of Victoria Falls. In the centre, you can find local hand crafts, such as the famous shone stone carvings and the variety of wooden carvings. You will also find a selection of brilliant African textiles, malachite, basketry, and many more and please don’t be afraid to better, which is both expected and fun. Perhaps you will decide to take another one of our optional tours from the choices offered on Day 10. Then we enjoy dinner this evening at a local restaurant.

Have breakfast in the morning, we will travel overland to Kasane Botswana, where we transfer by boat for a 3 night discovery of the Impalila Island. This Island is one of the gems of the Caprivi Strip, as lender eastern arm of Namibia extending to Zambia and the Botswana. We will also arrive in time to settle in and enjoy lunch together at the lodge. The setting is beneath the limbs of a 700 year old baobab tree that once sheltered 19th century explorer David Livingstone. Later, in the afternoon, you will discover the serenity of Impalila, surrounded by 60 miles of waterways-including the Zambezi and Chobe Rivers. Again with its interconnected rivers and channels varying in personality from rapids to limpid lily ponds, impalila’s environs which offer a bounty for lovers of nature. You will also explore the flora and the fauna during a sundowner cruise along the Zambezi River.
Then dinner and overnight at Impalila Island Lodge

Early in the morning, you might choose to experience what life in Impalila is like, during a walk through a local village. You will also explore the Chobe River on a boat cruise. This Caprivi Strip robin to yellow bellied bul buls and more. This is also the best time of the day to spot the black and copper tailed coucals. You will also encounter many crocodiles, hippos, and the many elephants. Immediately after your lunch, you will get back at camp followed by time for tea in the afternoon, you many also opt to take a river cruise or also explore the Island by foot. On the cruise, you will keep your eyes peeled for the Roan antelope, bushbuck, buffalos and many more. Then we enjoy dinner together at our lodge this evening.

Have breakfast and after we shall stroll to a nearby village in order to learn about traditional daily life in the Caprivi Strip. Depending on the village and the season, this may also include an introduction to the use of medicinal plants and trees in this region. You will also view many rhythms of local life. After lunch, you may explore the Chobe River by boat or go fishing; you will take your shot at snagging the tricky Tiger fish, the king of the river. You will also view the rich variety of wetland fowl, from herons to ibis and the crakes, or a chance to angle for fish, the afternoon also offers you the perfect leisurely pace. On either excursion, you’ll likely be under the watchful gaze of noble Fish Eagles.

After breakfast and also your choice of either a nature walk or boat cruise, return by boat to Kasane. We will have time to explore the town before arriving at our lodge in the time for lunch. Later in the afternoon, we enjoy our first game viewing drive in Chobe. There are many animals found here and some include; elephants, lions and many more.

Again the next two safari days feature a wealth of game viewing by land. We will also begin the morning with breakfast at our lodge before setting out for a game viewing drive in the Chobe National park. We will return to our lodge to relax for a while during the heat of the day, also followed by lunch. Late in the afternoon, we will enjoy another game viewing drive in the park; this will also be accompanied with elephants, zebras, cape buffalos, wildebeest and many more. In the evening, we return to camp to enjoy dinner together by candlelight.

Finally dinner and overnight at Chobe Bakwena Lodge

We will have breakfast and after, we will proceed for a game drive in the park, we will view many wildlife species including the hippos, buffalos, crocodiles and many more. Over dinner at our lodge together tonight, we can compare notes on all we’ve seen during these safari days.

After the breakfast, we travel overland to Kasane. We then drive to the falls airport and board our flight to Johannesburg; marking the end of your 18 days mixed South Africa Safari
