Rwanda Gorilla Trekking Adventure
The Rwanda Gorilla Trekking Adventure takes you to Volcanoes National park in Rwanda for gorilla trekking; as well as thrilling views of other animals including the forest elephants, monkeys, baboons, and a great deal of birds known to be endemic to the Virunga region. The safari also includes visiting Dian Fossey tomb, a celebrated conservationist who lost her dear life in the quest to save the gorillas.
You will have breakfast from the lodge and proceed to the head quarters at Kinigi for pre tracking briefing ahead of a whole day’s experience with these gentle beings, you will track the mountain gorillas deep in the mist. Recommended to carry with yourself is bottled water,packed lunch from the lodge, standard camera, the insect repellants, huts, walk able shoes and the rain gears. Upon return, we shall have dinner and an overnight at Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge, Virunga Safari Lodge, Gorilla’s nest or Kinigi Guest House.
You will have breakfast and then undertake a hike up to Karisoke research centre, established by Dian Fossey. Learn more about the activities of Dian Fossey of mountain gorilla conservation. On return, you will transfer to the lodge for lunch and an afternoon drive to Kigali city and later board your out bound flight or you have dinner and an overnight stay.
